Every day there’s something to remind me of the battles of being blue. Diabetes, type 1, in my case, is a costly disease – physically, emotionally and financially. Every day I fight the battle of the highs and lows and managing related complications that have reared ugly consequences along the way. Fundamentally, health care access outrage tops my list today, triggered by the latest list of the 25 worst states for health care access.
We type ones have many obstacles to overcome, such as the rising cost of insulin and the fact that the Medicare CGM Access Act continues to sit dormant in the halls of Congress. Health care access should not be one of them.
