This is where the rubber meets the road, my T1 story, truths and life on March 13, 2015.
Friday was a good day. I had a song in my heart, a microphone and the incomparable, Grammy Award-winning, Billy Stritch on piano. We were part of Jim Caruso’s Cast Party at Spaghettini & the Dave Koz Lounge Beverly Hills.
When I sing, there is no pain, so it makes sense (to me) that a Rogers and Hammerstein classic, A Cockeyed Optimist, was the perfect song choice. It reminds me there’s still a thing – other than my middle name – called hope.
With type one diabetes, there are good days and bad, ups and downs, highs and lows, but I speak my truths, tell my story and live my life.
How was your day?
